Hazard and risk Analyses (HAZOP/PAAG)

Hazard and risk Analyses (HAZOP/PAAG)

The PAAG method (HAZOP Hazard and Operability) is a worldwide recognized method for systematically identifying hazards and minimizing risks. The implementation of an HAZOP requires an exact knowledge of the system to be assessed. In addition to the understanding of the method and experience in the methodology, detailed knowledge about the functioning of all components, auxiliary systems and subsystems is also required. In an interdisciplinary team of experts, the possible deviations from the intended operation of a plant are analyzed, possible causes are discovered, the resulting effects are estimated and adequate counter-measures are defined according to a previously defined system. The result of such a disturbance analysis is a hazard analysis, which then becomes part of the safety report.

Maxdrey advises and supports you with the preparation, guidance, “facilitation (moderation in Germany) and documentation of HAZOP sessions, as well as concepts for plant safety or proof management. Our experts are there for you.

Our services

    1. Carry out risk and risk analysis
    2. Creation of safety concepts
    3. Creation and verification of functional safety
    4. Creation and updating of Safety Reports
    5. Selection and design of safety and protection equipment
    6. Safety engineering calculations
    7. Development and development of safety-related flow charts
    8. Design and realization of the necessary measures

Already when designing new plants, the measures for plant safety must first be prepared in the form of a safety concept. Maxdrey offers the following services:

    1. Assess the existing situation, in the case of accidents; perform a cause analysis according to ETA (event tree analysis) or other procedures
    2. Creation of safety concepts along the project phases
    3. Close co-operation with the involved disciplines of the client
    4. Determination of possible countermeasures

Structured hazard studies to identify deviations and safeguards.
