The CE mark

Is to be understood as a type of technical passport for certain product groups within the EU Member States as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The mark is mandatory for certain product groups that are placed on the market or put into operation within the European internal market for the first time.

Before introducing or placing a product in the EU for the first time, they should comply with the EU directives and standards, which mean that they must comply with the EC directives applicable to your product as each product group covered by an EC- Directive is automatically subject to the CE marking requirement.

EN standards, in particular harmonized standards such as:

ISO 12100, help you as a manufacturer to meet all basic safety requirements.

If your product is designed and built to a harmonized standard, then counts the presumption of conformity. It is assumed that the product is also conforming to the guidelines. If, on the other hand, your product is manufactured in a non-harmonized manner, you will be able to provide proof of compliance with the CE safety requirements for your product.
